Nutrition Overview

Food that keeps up with your training.

Good nutrition doesn't have to be complicated. Build each day around balanced meals, quality protein, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and consistent hydration to support energy, recovery, and long-term wellness without following restrictive eating plans.

Balanced Meals

A plate that covers the basics, every time.

Protein, whole grains, vegetables, and healthy fats in reasonable proportions — the same formula, built around whatever's in your kitchen.

Protein & Recovery

Enough protein, spread through the day.

Muscle repair happens between sessions, not during them. Spreading protein across three or four meals supports recovery better than one large serving at dinner.

  • 20–35g of protein per meal as a general target
  • A post-training meal within a couple of hours
  • Plant and animal protein sources, mixed through the week

Hydration

The habit most training plans skip.

Hydration affects energy, focus, and recovery more than most people realize. A steady intake through the day works better than trying to catch up during a workout.

Daily Baseline

Roughly half your body weight in ounces, adjusted for activity.

Training Days

Extra water before and after longer or hotter sessions.

Meal Planning

An hour on Sunday, easier every other day.

A simple weekly rhythm — plan, prep, portion — keeps healthy eating from depending on willpower during a busy Wednesday.

  • Plan four to five meals around what's already in the fridge
  • Batch-cook proteins and grains once, mix them differently through the week
  • Keep one or two easy backups for the nights nothing goes to plan
